The Creative Liaison of The Houston Collective

Bleu

The Houston Collective

Bleu is the heartbeat of The Houston Collective, bridging the gap between artists, production, and the audience with her unmatched talent and warmth. As the Talent Liaison, she ensures that every guest is fully prepared for their session, guiding them through the format and flow of the shows while creating an environment where they feel supported and confident. Her personal connection with artists sets the tone for authentic, relaxed performances.

With a background in jazz music, Bleu brings a musician’s ear to her work as the primary audio producer for Long River Sessions, KPFT Sessions, and The Cultivated Beat. She meticulously crafts each session’s sound, delivering polished, professional results that maintain the raw energy and emotion of the performances. Her expertise extends to curating talent, focusing on jazz and R&B acts that expand the Collective’s reach and diversity.

Bleu’s versatility is evident in her ability to step into the spotlight when needed. As a cohost for The Houston Collective’s series during DJ Rico Black’s absences, Bleu brings an engaging and insightful presence that enhances each conversation. Outside of her work with the Collective, she cohosts LivingArt on KPFT 90.1, a key part of the Houston Media Gauntlet, where she amplifies Houston’s thriving artistic scene.

Whether she’s producing exceptional audio, guiding artists through their sessions, or stepping in as cohost, Bleu’s contributions are foundational to The Houston Collective’s mission. Her dedication to supporting Houston’s creative voices ensures that each artist feels valued and every session resonates with authenticity.

From behind the soundboard to the forefront of artist relations, Bleu is the thread that weaves together the artistry, sound, and soul of The Houston Collective.
